As No Way Home is expected to swing into the Marvel Cinematic Universe just about any minute now, we’ve all been bitten with a radioactive level of hype to see all three live-action Spidey’s to make their way back onto the silver screen. Each of these series had its own standout points as they were able to take on some of the wall crawlers’ fiercest foes including Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Sandman, Venom, The Lizard, Electro, Vulture, and Mysterio. There are many metrics to measure which film and what set of characters stood out more- who had the better quips; Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire? Which J.Jonah Jameson was better; JK Simmons, or JK Simmons… wait a minute.
The scripts on some of these films have been worked on by many, like Homecoming which had a staggering six different people with writing credits- but sometimes when it comes down to filming, what was on the script just wasn’t good enough. Throughout the production of the Sam Raimi, Marc Webb, and Jon Watt’s films, plenty of improvised moments happened to lead to scenes where we laughed out loud, absolutely sobbed in the auditorium, and everything in between. So just what scenes exactly forced Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr. to spin off the script and come up with their own dialogue? Which villain was referenced to be a famous Kaiju that could make King Kong blush? Why oh why did Tobey do that dance when he had the symbiote? Stick around and find out!
